- Another story about how al-Qaeda uses the Internet to communicate and 'recruit'. I'm not sure why this is news. We've known that al-Qaeda sympathizers and operatives use the internet to communicate for quite some time.
- There have been numerous reports about a cyberwar between Palestinian and Israeli sympathizers that have paralleled the on-going conflict in Palestine. See here, here, here and here for detailed examples of this cyberwar.
- Color me surprised. 2008 witnessed a 50% increase in data breaches as reported by the Identity Theft Resource Center of San Diego.
- You mean to tell me that Kremlin tries to intimidate it's political opponents? No way!
- Twitter is victim to a nasty little Integrity attack. Glad im not famous and no one is interested in my tweets. More details on the attack can be found here.
- Despite Yahoo!'s pledges to protect privacy anonymizing search data is really hard.
